Srinagar, June 22 (KNO) : Governor Satya Pal Malik has directed the divisional administration Kashmir to assess the losses suffered by the farmers and orchardists due to the recent hailstorm across Kashmir. Talking to Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan said that Governor has directed him to assess the losses suffered by the farmers across the Valley due to the hailstorm especially in South Kashmir’s Pulwama and Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to compensate their losses. He said the Governor has assured the farmers that their will be compensated properly. On directions of Governor, he said the divisional administration has deputed teams from yesterday to the districts to assess the losses, adding that the assessment was being done and the farmers will be compensated soon.
